Why a code-level rate feed is not enough right now
Most of 2026's changes are Chapter 99 notes and CBP filing instructions, not edits to the code line. Wednesday's Section 232 drone action put the same six 8806 codes under two headings at once, an extra 25% or 100% depending on thermal imaging the code itself cannot show, and CBP's guidance said not to report the EU 15% heading yet. Your filing software applies a rate. It cannot tell you which of your clients that touches, or that a zero-duty line now needs a secondary code.
What a subscriber receives
One email at 06:00 ET per business day, one section per client, plus a CSV. The sample below is the file a three-client brokerage would have received on Wednesday, September 3, 2026. The regulatory facts are real and sourced. The brokerage, the clients and the dollar values are illustrative.

Client B, beef importer
No change since the Sep 1 file. Tranche 1 of the 300,000 metric ton lean beef trimmings quota opened Sep 1 under 9903.54.02 (Proclamation 11059, QB 26-230). Standing instruction: report 9903.54.02 first, then the chapter 2 line. Tranche 2 opens Oct 1.
Client C, industrial hydraulics distributor (origins CN, IN, MX)
No rate change. Two dated events: the AD/CVD petition on linear hydraulic cylinders from Canada, China, India, Korea and Mexico reaches Commerce's initiation decision on Sep 8, and the remaining Section 301 product exclusions under 9903.88.69 expire on Nov 9, after which entries revert to the underlying 301 heading.

- Where a change depends on a product feature or end use the code does not carry, the file says so and leaves the classification call to you.
- It is not legal advice and not a classification service. You and your clients make the filing decisions.
- Your clients' code lists stay yours. They are used only to produce your file.
